Frederic Edwin ChurchFrederic Edwin Church (May 4, 1826 - April 7, 1900) was an American landscape painter born in Hartford, Connecticut. He was a central figure in the Hudson River School of American landscape painters.
CimabueCenni di Pepo (Giovanni) Cimabue (c. 1240 — c. 1302) was an Italian painter and creator of mosaics from Florence. He is also well known for his student Giotto, who revolutionized painting in Italy. Cimabue is generally regarded as the last great painter working in the Byzantine tradition.
Chuck CloseChuck Close (born Charles Thomas Close) July 5, 1940, Monroe, Washington) is an American painter and photographer who achieved fame as a photorealist before a catastrophic blood clot left him severely paralyzed. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, his portraits were innovative in that they tended to portray their subjects with artifacts that were indicative of their lives.
