Lovis Corinth (1858-1925) Lovis Corinth was born in Tapiau, East Prussia (today Gwardeisk in the Russian enclave Kaliningrad Oblast) and died in Zandvoort, Netherlands. He was a German painter who found a synthesis of impressionism and expressionism.
