Louise Moillon

Louise Moillon (1610-1696) was a 17th century French painter in the Baroque Era who was known for specializing in still lifes. She was born in Paris to the painter Nicolas Moillon. However, she was an apprentice to her stepfather, Francois Garnier. She became known as one of the best still life painters during her time, and her work continues to be admired for its quiet style.
